I've attended men's and women's soccer games at BYU, Utah and Utah State, and nothing compares to BYU women's soccer. What is it about Coach Rockwood's team under the lights at South Field? I believe there are three unique characteristics that make Cougar Lady Soccer one of kind.

1. South Field Environment
2. Side Show
3. Team Talent

If you haven't ever been to a soccer game at South Field, you're missing out. There really is nothing else like it. The scenery of Y mountain as the field's backdrop is breathtaking. The field is always in great condition with freshly cut grass. And the bright shining lights set the stage for Cougar soccer.

From the moment fans' tickets are scanned, they are surrounded with things to do. Artists draw fans as cartoon characters. Others make balloons into animals and fun hats for the kids. Families can pile into a photo booth to save the memory. And of course Cosmo is always keeping things interesting.

Finally, year after year, BYU women's soccer proves to be one of the nation's premier programs. Just last week, BYU beat #11 ranked Long Beach State 1-0 in front of their home crowd, and last night destroyed the University of Texas 5-0. At the helm for the Cougars this year are 2011 All-American Lindsi Lisonbee and Academic All-American Carlee Holmoe. Both seniors made the 2012 All-WCC team.
